5 QUALITIES A MANAGER SHOULD HAVE
1. Creativity
Creativity is what separates competence from excellence. Today, in the chaging world, creativity
is considered power. It helps people produce new things, something called innovation. It also
plays an important part in putting separate ideas into a general form, which makes them more
valued.
2. Intuition
Intuition is the capacity of knowing without the use of rational processes; it's emotional
intelligence. People with keen insight are often able to sense what others are feeling and
thinking; consequently, they're able to respond perfectly to another through their *deeper

need to learn. The excellent manager lives from a knowledge base, without having to draw
attention to it.
4. Discipline/Focus
Discipline is the ability to choose and live from what one pays attention to. This is the strenghth
that helps a manager keep on going ahead. Without discipline/focus, they would hardly succeed
in solving serious problem as well as overcoming any hardship to reach the target.

the big picture; the excellent manager is skillful at doing both: think big while also paying
attention to the details.

your employees. You have to communicate “sideways” with your coworkers and customers. And
you have to communicate upwards with your own manager or executive. You need some
substance in the communication, of course you need to have something worthy of being
communicated. But substance isn’t enough if you know what you’re doing and can’t properly
communicate it to anyone else, then you’ll never be a good manager.
2. Listening Skills
This is a part of communication, but I want to single it out because it’s so important. Some
managers get so impressed with themselves that they spend much more of their
time telling people things than they spend listening. But no matter how high ...
