Renzo Dionigi is Professor of Surgery and Rector of the University of
Insubria in Varese, Italy. His main research interests include identification
of high risk surgical patients, surgical immunobiology, cancer, nutrition and
immunocompetence, whereas his major interests in clinical surgery
are esophageal, pancreatic and liver surgery, and kidney and pancreas
