Máy bơm pistion
These manually operated piston pumps are designed for use
on intermittently operated singleline central lubrication
systems in conjunction with piston distributors and are
equipped with a pressurerelief device which the distribu
tors need in order to function.
Lubrication takes place when the hand lever is pulled until re
sistance is felt. The manual force is transferred via a cam to the
pump's piston, which then delivers the oil to the piston distribu
tors through the main line (pressure 1030 bars, depending on
the manual force applied). The metered quantities of oil stored in
the piston distributors are fed to the lube points via the second
ary lines when the pump is actuated.
After the lever is released, the main line is relieved of pressure,
the distributors are filled again.
During the pumping, the lever should not be pulled all the way to
the cam's stop but should be held briefly at the working point.
That makes certain the lubricant in all the distributors is comple
tely ejected.
In the case of systems with a small capacity it is advisable to use
a safety valve to protect the pump against overloads on the lever.
Selection of the pumps
Manually operated piston pumps must be selected on the basis
of the delivery rate that corresponds to the system capacity of
the planned installation.
The system capacity consists of
the sum total of all the installation's metered quantities,
+ 25% of that value,
+ 1 ccm per meter of flexible line, (expansion loss)
To make sure that pressure builds up in the central lubrication
system, the system capacity should not exceed 2/3 the output
per stroke of the piston pump.
If this value is exceeded, either select a pump with a larger deliv
ery rate or adapt the system capacity to the pump's delivery rate
by reducing the piston distributors' metered quantities and
increasing the lubrication frequency.
Startup and maintenance of a system
1. Fill reservoir with oil (use a screen filter)
Use brandname oil in keeping with the machine manufac
turer's information; it must be compatible with NBR seals.
Unless otherwise specified, select oil with a rated viscosity
ranging from 15 to 150 mm
Max. operating temperature from +10 °C to +40 °C.
2. Operate pump at intervals of 23 seconds in succession
until oil emerges at all the lube points.
A welllaid installation will bleed itself!
The bleeding process is supported by
opening the ends of the main lines until bubblefree oil
emerges there,
filling long secondary lines – especially at distributor points
with a small metered rate – before connecting the same to
the lube point.
Maintenance includes
1. checking the oil level and topping up in good time!
2. retightening all the tubing connections after the machine has
been running for an extended period of time and actuating the
pump to check whether oil emerges at all the lube points.
Use VOGEL spare parts only if any repairs are required.
Never clamp a pump in a vise!
